Please note that the Homestead is not suitable for children under the age of 8 years.
Maximum capacity per Homestead guest room is 2 adults & 1 child. Children will be accommodated in a comfortable swag.
The rate includes meals, beverages (based on a select open bar), National Park entry fees and scheduled activities.
Telephone calls, transfers and excursions hosted by outside specialist guides.
Check-in is from 2.00pm and check-out is 11.00am. Guest rooms required for check-in prior to 2.00pm must be pre-booked fron the day earlier to guarantee availability. If you are are arriving earlier, you are welcome to make use of the facilities and your luggage will be stored until your room becomes available.
A deposit of 20% is required within 7 days of making a reservation. Full payment must be made 30 days prior to arrival. For bookings made within 30 days, payment must be made within 48 hours of booking.
As a small property, our business depends on maximising occupancy and cancellations often result in empty rooms. Cancellation of your reservation must be notified to us in writing, and will take effect on the day we receive it.
In case of unscheduled camp closure (such as, but not limited to, the case of cyclone, fire or flood) full monies will be refunded.

Please advise the following when making a booking request
A walking holiday can be a very personal experience - one man's stroll can be another's expedition. It is important that you choose the right holiday for your capabilities.
The Arkaba Walking Safari is a 'moderate' walk. You will cover between 6 to 15km per day over various terrain; along creeks beds, flat plains and some steep, hilly ground with mountain scrambling over rocky surfaces. You can be walking for up to 7 hours per day with plenty of ascents and descents. Whilst you do not need previous trekking experience a good level of fitness is required.
Please advise the following when making a booking request;
To confirm a reservation a 20% deposit (AU$400) per person is required within 7 days of making the booking. The deposit is payable to Arkaba Trust Pty Ltd.
Payment of your deposit will constitute acceptance by you of these terms and conditions. We will invoice you for the remainder of the cost, which must be paid, along with any other surcharges, no later than 30 days prior to arrival. If you do not pay the balance by the due date your booking is subject to cancellation and the deposit is forfeited. If you book less than 30 days before arrival, full payment must be made on the booking within 48 hours.
Acceptance of your booking will be confirmed in writing to you and a contract comes into existence on the date shown on that letter or email. The booking conditions are binding when your reservation is confirmed in writing to you.

If you cancel your booking, cancellation fees apply. Notification of cancellation must be made to Arkaba Walking Safaris by letter or email. The date when written confirmation of cancellation is received by Arkaba Walking Safaris will determine the charges applicable.

No refunds will be made if you leave a trip for any reason after the trip has begun.
The rate includes three nights deluxe swag accommodation, under the stars with eco-friendly, communal shower and toilet facilities at each swag camp, all meals, beverages (beer, wine, soft drinks, tea, coffee & water) National Park entry fees, services of walking guide and assistant. A support vehicle to transfer camp items, swags, food, bedding, luggage etc. Complimentary road transfers between Hawker airstrip and Arkaba Station.
Scheduled domestic and international flights, comprehensive travel insurance, items of a personal nature, pre/post tour accommodation.
Before making a booking you must advise Arkaba Walking Safaris of any pre-existing medical condition, mobility impairment and/or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of you requiring medical attention, or that might affect the normal conduct of a trip and the enjoyment of other trip members. Arkaba Walking Safaris may require an assessment of your medical condition from a qualified medical practitioner. If you fail to adequately notify Arkaba Walking Safaris of any pre-existing medical conditions and/or disability, Arkaba Walking Safaris reserves the right, at its reasonable discretion, to cancel your particpation in a trip at any time, including after the commencement of your trip, with no right of refund if your medical condition, mobility impairment and/or disability could be reasonably expected to affect the normal conduct of the trip and the enjoyment of other trip members.
The Arkaba Walking Safaris are not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
'Force Majeure' means (without restriction) any event which Arkaba Walking Safaris could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. Force Majeure covers events such as, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events beyond our control. In the case of Force Majuere Arkaba Walking Safaris will not accept liability, and reserves the right to change and cancel trips.
Our guides are all trained in First Aid and will be equipped with the following:
We ask that all guests arrive at Arkaba Woolshed for 11:00am on day 1. Our guide/s will be there to meet you for a cup of tea, overview and briefing. After the briefing on day 1, you will be transferred by road to Wilpena Pound where we aim to set off on foot at 12:00pm.
On day 4, we estimate an arrival to Arkaba Station for 12:00pm. Walkers departing straight after the walk are welcome to use the Homestead facilities to freshen up before departing.
